When an opportunity rises, will we match its energy?

Receiving what we ask for begins with believing we deserve it. This text ponders why we miss or reject good things even when they seem to match to what we've asked for.

Life presents us opportunities constantly. Some we grasp, some we let slip. Sometimes intentionally, and sometimes because we may not feel ready or worthy of what is being presented.

I’ve noticed that manifesting (as in asking the universe for something our heart desires) truly works. But it’s not just about asking and then getting everything we asked for. It’s about asking for what we truly want in our hearts, and most importantly, it’s about the ability to receive when it’s arriving and then take action, when we see an opportunity in front of us. But what does it mean to be ready to receive?

It means that we need to believe that we deserve what’s being offered. It is often not conscious at all, but something coded deep in us, in our subconscious beliefs.

For some this is more natural: asking and receiving comes from a place of entitlement. And I don’t mean this necessarily in a bad way: entitlement means that we simply believe something belongs to us, and we take that something for granted. Like drinking water in Finland: we take it for granted that we can go to practically any public building and drink water for free straight from the tab.

When we don’t feel we deserve something, it usually comes from the past: perhaps a small moment when someone doubted us, went against us, or did not meet our needs. It coded a deep pattern in us that we need to recognise so we can release it.

Decoding that is the first step to becoming “an energetic” match to our heart’s desire. It’s allowing ourselves to believe that we DESERVE something, that it truly belong to us.

When something arrives before the time is right

I have had a few experiences where life offered me something I thought I wanted. Something I thought I was ready for. But when it happened, I felt that other things were incomplete and that I was not ready to accept it yet.

I opened my heart little by little to receive what was being given, but there was also a feeling that some mission of mine was not quite ready. I also had a feeling that something may go wrong.

The first opportunity in this case passed. It hurt me, but in the end, the second time around I understood why it was not the time yet and why the second time it was perfect timing.

Luckily, when that mission in the back of my mind was completed, I got a stronger yes from the universe again. A new opportunity. In a better environment, in a better life situation, better health, and with all requested conditions met.

This was my miscarriage a year ago. And this time around, now carrying a healthy, vital baby with no issues in the pregnancy, I feel very strongly ready and that it is the perfect timing. Things have fallen into place in a way that they just feel natural and carefree. That’s something that I call being an energetic match or in alignment to something.

That is always the question: Were we ready earlier? Were we an energetic match?

That’s the thing. When something that we thought we wanted does not work out, we will see later why it was meant to go that way. Or why the time was not right. And it usually makes sense only afterwards, when “something better” has come out of a painful situation.
